Dr. Danny Dowling

About Dr. Danny Dowling

Dr. Danny Dowling, ND is a Colorado State Registered Naturopathic Doctor.

He uses his education and clinical training in pharmacology, diet and lifestyle therapies, counseling, herbal medicines, exercise science, vitamin/nutrient therapies, and physical medicine techniques like chiropractic adjustments, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, and hydrotherapy to strengthen weakened systems that have led to physical and mental dis-ease.

He uses your unique health history, conventional and/or functional lab-work, and imaging to help him identify or get closer to the cause of a health concern. Many of his patients come to him after not improving or worsening from different combinations of pharmaceuticals/surgery or receiving vague and brief healthcare. He’s taken this route in medicine because he wants to teach prevention and address underlying causes of illness without drastically altering chemistry or creating dependence.

Biography

Dr. Dowling grew up in the Midwest near Kansas City, KS where the culture revolved around strong family-values, hard working physical labor, sports, BBQ, and rampant fast-food chains. His mother being a nurse and father a holistic family dentist in combination with all the sports and sports-related injuries he experienced growing up sparked his interest in biology and orthopedic medicine/surgery. The passing of his father at the age of 11; also played a pivotal role in his later transition to studying Naturopathic preventative medicine instead of continuing down the conventional path.

While going through undergrad at the University of Kansas he developed a deeper interest in nutrition and grew uninspired by the prospect of seeing the same injuries over and over. He stumbled-upon Naturopathic medicine via his research around the Gerson Therapy, a nutrition-based adjunctive cancer program. He began shadowing ND’s and interviewing at multiple Nationally Accredited Naturopathic Medical schools in San Diego, Portland, and Seattle.

Most recently he completed his residency in Primary Care and IV-Nutrient Therapy near Seattle and has now been working with the Rocky Mountain Natural Medicine team for 1 year.

He has additional training in Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Kneipp Hydrotherapy and has attended CE Conferences for Hormonal Health, Digestive health,Environmental Medicine, and Psychiatry.

In his spare time, he enjoys trail-running, cycling, rock-climbing, hiking, dancing, endless podcasts, carpentry, and seeking out local-foodie spots. In the future, he hopes to impact public healthcare and access to preventative medicine for the broader public via hosting talks and interviews to increase awareness of naturopathic functional medicine and philosophy.
